LA Trash Apparel Photoshoot

As of recently LA Trash Apparel completed the new photoshoot with all of the shirts they will be coming out with. I just received all the pictures and will be going through them all to begin the process of designing the website with photo’s incorporated. I’m very excited about this project. Me and the LA Trash Apparel team have been working on this project since 2010 and have finally reached the point of launch.

The website and merchandise pictures should be up and the website included within the next 2 weeks! Infact, I will include a few shots that will be used on the website. LA Trash Apparel and I will be launching the entire website and social sites including our online merchandise store in 2 weeks or less. The website will include a bunch of features like the store, individual merchandise pages, news updates, newsletters for people to join, social sites including facebook, twitter and more! I am really excited to launch this project!

Website Launch for Kid Disaster

I was recently approached by Kid Disaster for a website. So I decided to give them a nice look and use WordPress. I’m really happy with the way this one turned out. The colors and design all flow together really well. I wanted to utilize all of their social sites. That brought me to the twitter feed on the top along with the Tumblr feed on the main page. I also decided that adding each individual members twitter feed would be a nice touch in displaying a little more personality per member.

Overall I’m extremely happy with this website and I’m glad I had the chance to work with these guys!

Nineteen Eighty Seven Design Facebook – Web Launch

For the past few weeks I’ve been working on multiple project’s along with school and other things. I started thinking of ideas for a new website for 1987clothing.com. I recently did a Adobe CS5 Project for school and I used this photo that I took on my way into Detroit, MI. Once I seen how that turned out it opened up ideas for a website. So thus began my thought process on building a website based on that picture.

The Photoshop project for school allowed me to mask the city thus allowing me to add whatever I needed in the background/sky. Some of the ideas for things in the sky came out of random. Some of them have meaning and that is why they are in the picture.

I decided that this is supposed to be a graphic design portfolio. So I wanted to use my graphic design as well as my web design skills. I also decided it was time to release as much work as I had that I thought was portfolio worthy, which is decent amount of work. I think it turned out really good.

When I decided to redo the website I thought it might be time to get a Facebook since I am on every other Social Network. So I made a Facebook and launched that at the same time I launched the website. Check out the website and Facebook and Like Nineteen Eighty Seven Design on Facebook! :)

I am also currently working on 2 websites which I will post more about as they finish up. In the meantime please like NESD on Facebook and check out the new portfolio website!

Nineteen Eighty Seven Design Adobe Photoshop CS5 Project.

I haven’t updated in a long time because I’ve been so so busy with school! However, I have been doing a couple things for school and a few other clients. So I wanted to share this newest piece that was done in Adobe Photoshop, dealing mostly with masking. This is a picture I took in Detroit, I’ve added the a different sky that I took when I was in Florida and then added a few other things throughout the picture. I’ve also done some typography. That’s it for now! I have a bunch of upcoming projects in the works, that I hope to display soon!

ifilehere.com Website Launch

I’ve been working on several projects right now. I’ve also been working on finishing my associates in graphic design. Boy, am I busy! So one of the projects i’ve been working on is www.ifilehere.com a tax return website. They are a local company from Michigan, so I was pretty excited to work with them!

This website is based on wordpress cms. I’ve been working alot lately with wordpress theme’s and they really seem to be easy to launch and maintain. I’ve launch a blog, forums and newsletter with this site. I also recreated the top logo and all of the images on the website itself. Overall it turned out pretty well! I’m excited to continue working with them!

LA Trash Apparel Website

As of recently, I’ve been FINALLY working on a project that I’ve been working on since 2010. It’s finally here. It’s almost finished and that means I will be able to reveal it within the next few weeks! Obviously its LA Trash Apparel. A clothing company I’ve been working on. I’m really excited as the clothing is arriving within the next week! Which means the shop will be completed by next week and everything will be completely launched! Right now I have the base structure implemented into the website and because of that it is up and running! Which is okay because the look is finished and so are the current pages. We will be launching 5 T-Shirts with tags removed from the back and a custom LA Trash Apparel tag screen printed on the back. They are all printed on American Apparel for more comfort! We haven’t launched the products yet, nor are they for sale yet, but it’s coming!

The Quiet City Screams T-Shirt Designs

So I’ve been working on these 2 designs since the last blog update. The first shirt is another anchor design that I did. It’s different then the previous anchor designs I’ve done. On the anchor shirt I used the pen tool to create the anchor in Adobe Illustrator I also created the main font in Illustrator as well. Overall I tried something new completely designing this t-shirt in Illustrator instead of importing to Photoshop. I managed to keep it down to 3 colors which is surprising that I Was able to get it that low. I wanted to go with 4 – 6 colors!

The Second Shirt was created in Photoshop. Once I created the text, it was all pretty much rasterized so I could manipulate it to fit the design. The bottom features a city amongst the shapes that were rasterized to and then added a grunge to make it fit the style I was reaching. I thought the lines added a nice touch as well. This shirt was limited to 2 colors as well but I still feel those 2 colors worked out well!

I will have more to post soon enough! :)
